How to import cTrader trades
Create a cTrader import profile
Choose cTrader as the source for a new profile.
- Open Trade Imports in Trading Vault and choose New, then select cTrader.
- Choose the destination trade account. Set an import start date if you only want recent history.
Connect and choose an account
Authorize the connection and select the trading account for this profile.
- Select Create & connect. If prompted, continue to cTrader to authorize read-only account access.
- Back in Trading Vault, select the cTrader account you want to import. If it is missing, use the option to authorize another account.
Review the first import
From the connected profile, choose Preview trades to inspect proposed executions, costs, and rows that need attention, then select Import trades to confirm. If Sync now is available, you can use it to fetch and apply eligible activity directly. Connecting an account alone does not import trades.
Keep your history current
Use Sync now for a one-off check. If Automatic sync is offered for your connected account and membership, enable it in Edit settings to import new activity without starting each check yourself.
What to know before importing
- cTrader availability and automatic sync eligibility are checked for your account in the app. Supported product and account modes can vary.
- Trade imports and automatic sync depend on your membership and the selected account. The app checks eligibility before enabling either action.
- A single cTrader authorization may show several trading accounts; each import profile uses the account you select.
- Imported trades remain in your journal if you later disconnect the broker account. Historical stop and target changes may be incomplete.
If something needs attention
- If you cannot see the account you want, use the option to authorize another cTrader account during connection setup.
- If authorization is canceled or fails, return to the saved profile and select Connect to try again.
- If an import is held for review, inspect its preview and account or instrument messages before confirming anything.
After importing, import history can help you review unmatched or invalid rows.
