Import FXCM trades into Trading Vault

Import FXCM trades into your Trading Vault journal. Export an HTML trading report from FXCM Trading Station, upload it, and review the import preview.

Setup

How to import FXCM trades

  1. Export an FXCM trading report

    Get the original account report from FXCM.

    1. In FXCM Trading Station, select Report.
    2. Choose the account and date range, then run the report.
    3. Save the generated report as an HTML file (.html).

  2. Create an FXCM import profile

    Set up where the report should go in your journal.

    1. Open Trade Imports in Trading Vault, choose New, then select FXCM.
    2. Assign the destination trade account. If this replaces another import source, set an import start date.

  3. Upload and review

    Check the proposed changes before adding them to your journal.

    1. Use Upload trades on the FXCM profile to add the HTML file.
    2. Review trade actions, prices, costs, unmatched rows, and invalid rows in the preview.

  4. Confirm and reuse the profile

    Confirm the preview to import accepted activity. Upload later FXCM reports to the same profile so import history can help recognize repeats.

What to know before importing

  • FXCM uses file uploads in Trading Vault; it does not have an automatic account connection here.
  • Upload the original HTML report rather than a PDF, image, or spreadsheet conversion. Files are limited to 4 MB.
  • Trade imports require an eligible membership.

If something needs attention

  • If the upload fails, check that the file is an FXCM HTML trading report and is under 4 MB.
  • If rows are unmatched, open import history to review and assign them to the correct trades.

File uploads show a preview before confirmation. After importing, import history can help you review unmatched or invalid rows.
