Accounts

Create and customize separate accounts to manage your trades with Trading Vault's Account Manager. Choose the base currency, default market, and risk percentage for each account, and track your transactions and account balances with ease. Try our paper trading account feature to test your strategies without risking real money.

Your journal allows you to create separate accounts to manage your trades. If you are just getting started we recommend the following accounts.

  1. Main
  2. Missed Trades
  3. Back Testing

You can re-arrange your accounts to change the order they are displayed throughout your journal. Select an account to customise it.

Currency

Choose the base currency of the account which will effect how numbers are formatted.

Default market

Choose the default market that will be used when entering a trade to this account. The market can be changed per trade at any time.

Risk percentage (%)

Set how much of your account you risk per trade as a percentage. This is displayed on the dashboard so you can quickly size up your trades.

Account balance

This is the calculated balance of your account based on your trades, deposits and withdrawals. This is used to calculate the Profit Percentage (%) of a trade.

Deposit / withdraw

Use the deposit or withdraw buttons to record a cash deposit or withdrawal from your account. Ensure the date of the transaction is correct as this will effect the historical account balance and subsequently a trades Profit Percentage (%).

Transaction list

The Transaction List provides a summary of all the transactions within the account with a running balance. This is useful for reconciling your account with your broker.

Account colour

Choose different colours for each account so they stand out throughout your journal.

Paper trading account

Toggle if the account is a real account or a paper trading account. This is used to separate accounts in various parts of your journal. It does not alter any of the accounts functionality.
