Templates
Templates are a powerful way to save time and ensure consistency in your trading journal. You can create templates for various purposes, such as:
- Trade Reviews: Standardize your trade review process with a template that includes all the necessary sections and questions.
- Watchlist: Create a watchlist template to track potential trades and their details.
- Trading Plan: Use a template to outline your trading strategy, risk management rules, and goals.
- Trading Strategy Checklist: Develop a checklist template to ensure you follow your trading strategy consistently.
- Advanced Self Review: Create a template for in-depth self-reflection and performance analysis.
Creating Templates
To create a template, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Templates Section: Go to the templates section in your Trading Vault account.
- Click on "Create Template": This will open a new template editor.
- Name Your Template: Give your template a descriptive name that reflects its purpose (e.g., "Trade Review Template").
- Add Content: Enter the content you want to include in your template. You can use headings, bullet points, and other formatting options to structure your template.
Note: Changes to your template are automatically saved, so you don't need to worry about losing your work.
Template Library
Browser our template library to find pre-made templates that you can use as a starting point.
- Access the Template Library: Click on the "Template Library" button in the templates section.
- Browse Available Templates: Scroll through the available templates to find one that suits your needs.
- Preview the Template: Click on a template to view its details and see how it looks.
- Add to Your Account: If you find a template you like, click the "Add to My Templates" button to add it to your account.
Using Templates
After creating or adding templates to your account, you can seamlessly use them across your journal. Whether you're recording trades, updating your notebook, or detailing your strategy, our rich text editors make it easy to apply your templates for consistency and efficiency.
When starting on a blank page, a list of your templates will appear within the editor. Simply select one to insert it into your entry.
Additionally, you can use the slash command /
to quickly insert templates. This feature is particularly helpful when you need to add multiple templates to a single entry or page, streamlining your workflow.
