Share Trades
Trade sharing lets you send a rich read-only trade review to a mentor, trading community, or another trader without exposing your full journal. You control which parts of the trade are visible, including profit, percentages, account context, notes, snapshots, tags, insights, and position-management details.
Open a trade and use the share button in the top right corner to create a share link.
After the link is created, copy it and send it to the people you want to view the trade. You can remove the share link at any time to stop public access.
What is always shared
Shared trades include enough basic information for the page to make sense, such as trade details, timing, direction, and pricing/risk context.
Share permissions
Use "Edit permissions" to choose which additional information is visible. Permissions apply to the current trade only.
Available permissions include:
| Permission | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Profits | Profit and loss values. |
| Percentages | Percentage return values. |
| Summary text | The written trade summary. |
| Snapshots | Trade snapshot images. |
| Tags | Tags assigned to the trade. |
| Notes | Private notes from the Notes tab. |
| Insights | Linked trade insights. |
| Account | Account name and account-related context. |
| Position management | Execution stop, target, management, and allocation context. |
| Preparation notes | Preparation review content from the trade summary. |
| Execution notes | Execution review content from the trade summary. |
| Review notes and ratings | Review notes and ratings from the trade summary. |
Use "All on" or "All off" when you want to quickly open or lock down the permission set.
Sharing examples
Use trade sharing when you want to:
- Send a mentor the full trade context, including executions, snapshots, and review notes.
- Share a public trade idea without showing profit, account, or private notes.
- Discuss position management while hiding journal notes that are not relevant to the review.
- Share a chart-backed trade breakdown with a community while keeping the rest of your journal private.
Shared trade view
People who open the link see a read-only trade detail page. The shared view includes tabs such as Summary, Executions, Snapshots, Charts, Insights, Tags, and Notes. Tabs or fields that are not shared are locked or hidden.
Execution details are loaded only when needed. Sensitive execution notes are masked in shared views.
Default permissions
Your default sharing permissions are configured in Sharing Settings. Defaults are used when a trade is first shared, and each trade can still have its own permission overrides.
